Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing is an Austrian Formula One racing team based in Milton Keynes in the UK. It is owned by Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, along with Scuderia Toro Rosso. The team won four successive Constructors’ Championship titles, in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, becoming the first Austrian licensed team to win the title.

The challenges

Red Bull Racing make a lot of presentations at events, conferences, and at race circuits throughout the year. They also make a lot of presentations to technology partners and prospective sponsor.

They use Microsoft PowerPoint for their presentations but find it very unpredictable when using video content which they need to do regularly to show footage of races. Often they would try to present onsite at Technology Partners or at events and the PowerPoint presentations just wouldn’t run or show the video at all. This problem was compounded when using their clients computers to present on.
Given their high profile brand and the sector they operate in they really needed dynamic, engaging presentations rich with exciting content.

What did we create?

We were approached by Red Bull’s IT team who had been researching  potential solutions and software and found that Plus Two has our Presentia presentation software platform and offers a high-presentation design service with in-house specialist skills such as 3D animation.

Following a demo at their Milton Keynes factory (and an awesome tour of the facility for us too!) we were commissioned by Red Bull Racing to provide our Presentia presentation software to key stakeholders in their senior management  team. They also commissioned a library of highly engaging animated content created by our Design Studio to really bring their presentations alive.

Results

Our Presentia presentation software is now used around the world by Red Bull Racing’s Head of Technical Partnerships to present to key partners such as AT&T at events and races throughout the F1 calendar. Additionally their CIO uses Presentia to present at universities to engage with Engineering students about careers in Formula One.
